Studiehåndbokas emner for 2016/2017:
Arithmetic, algebra, equations, inequalities, trigonometry, geometry, functions and differentiation.
Have knowledge about fractions, parenthesis rules, laws of exponents, integer and rational exponents. They should have knowledge about first and second degree equations with one or two unknown factors, equation systems with several unknown factors, equations of 3rd and 4th degree, factorization, polynomials, irrational equations, sign schemes and double inequalities of 1st and 2nd degree. The students should know the definition of trigonometric functions for angles less than 180°, triangle calculations, sinus law, cosine law, calculation of area and volume, peripheral- and central angles. They should have knowledge of linear functions, equations for straight lines, proportionality, inversely proportionality, quadric functions, rational functions, limits, asymptotes, basic differentiation and derivative of the second order.
Be able to understand and use mathematical rules and laws, solve basic equations and inequalities. They should be able to analyze equations graphically, using differentiation.
- General Qualifications:
Have basic competence within mathematics. They should be able to use mathematics as a tool in other courses and in future studies.
